Kate Lawler is a Radio & TV Presenter currently working on Kerrang! Radio. She jumps in to the driving seat from 3pm every week day playing her favourite mix of rock and indie. Her programme has the biggest audience on Kerrang! Radio pulling in over a million listeners each week with it's 'Breakfast Show' style format from listener interaction with daily features, to discussing news stories from around the world and competitions. Kate has an unrivalled rapport with her listeners and she bucks the radio trend by being a sharp, sassy solo female presenter in a male-dominated marketplace.

Kate found fame after winning the 3rd series of Big Brother in 2002. Big Brother 3 had 5.8 million viewers, making it the most popular series ever to be commissioned by Channel 4. Kate won with more than 3 million votes, also making her the first ever female winner of the hit reality TV show. .

Kate is proud to be part of Big Brother 3 which in addition, won 'Most Popular Factual Entertainment Programme' at the National Television Awards 2002.

Kate has now carved out a very successful career with over 10 years in the industry… Since co-hosting C4’s breakfast show ‘Rise’ with Iain Lee, Kate has enjoyed success as a presenter, co-presenting Channel Five’s ‘Party in the Park’, ‘The Brit Awards’ for Capital FM, and hosting a weekend radio show ‘Hit Music Sunday’ with TV legend Andi Peters also for Capital FM. Kate has presented ‘Celebrity Extra’ for Living TV, ‘What Women Want’ for UKTV, reported on Five’s ‘Boxing Academy’ and during the summer of 2005 she wrote a popular weekly column for New! Magazine covering fashion, music and topical TV shows.

Kate has a huge passion for sport and football especially. Her love of fitness inspired her best seller Boxersize DVD 'Kates Cardio Combat' and made her a strong contender in ITV’s ‘Celebrity Wrestling’.

Kate won a C4 talent competition for her drama and comic timing skills, judged by Jo Brand and Piers Morgan which followed with two nights of well received stand up comedy at the Edinburgh Festival 2005.

She has modelled clothing for the football team she follows – Arsenal FC and in the summer of 2006, Kate first graced the shop windows as the face of Ann Summers Lingerie advertisements.


She then went on to model for the brand for 2 years, fronting their Christmas and Valentines campaigns along with their Autumn/Winter collection. This was the year Kate began to DJ out in clubs around the UK.


After travelling to Fiji for 2 weeks to appear on Love Island 2, Kate joined Kerrang! Radio in October 2007 and has found huge success there.

Kate was part of the programming team that won the highly prestigious Gold Award for station with over 1 million listeners at the 2009 Sony Radio Academy Awards. In 2012, Kerrang! Radio was shortlisted for the UK Station of the year award alongside BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6 Music.


From 2004 up until 2012, Kate made a huge name for herself on the clubbing scene, DJing regularly at some of the biggest and best clubs in the UK, as well as playing across Europe and the rest of the world.


With a real passion for guitar music, in the summer of 2012, Kate was handed an additional slot on Kerrang! Radio, where she now hosts an hour of Klub Kerrang! on Saturday evenings which is broadcast on 105.2fm across the West Midlands, nationally on Freeview, DAB and online at as well as the mobile app.


You can tune in to her Klub Kerrang! show every Saturday night from 7pm-8pm. The entire playlist is handpicked by Kate, from alternative anthems to loud rock and indie classics, as well as brand new music.
